Forgot to make a reservation for your date this weekend? Or maybe your friends called and want to go out last minute tonight but now everything is booked? Don't worry — we've got you covered. Columbus is home to many restaurants that don't take reservations. Provided you're willing to wait just a couple extra minutes — you can enjoy a fantastic meal without all of the fuss. Plus, while you wait you can grab a drink nearby and soak in the sights of our amazing city. We've rounded up our favorite restaurants in Columbus that don't take reservations. Whether you're looking for an incredible poké bowl or maybe a mouth-watering slice of pizza — this list has a spot everyone will enjoy!

Portia's Cafe

4428 Indianola Avenue This vegan eatery is both casual and classy, offering dishes made from gluten-free, GMO-free, organic and locally sourced ingredients. Here you can grab a wrap, a bowl, a plethora of salads and soups along with delicious smoothies and vegan desserts.

Bodega

1044 North High Street   Bodega encourages you to come for the beer and stay for the food, and we couldn't agree more. They offer over 200 beers, 47 of them on tap, along with a fresh and inventive American pub-style menu. On Monday, be sure to stop in for their "$1 Grilled Cheese Monday" special which may be the best thing ever.

Arepazo Tapas and Wine

92 North High Street Arepazo is a cozy restaurant settled in Gahanna, perfect for a business lunch, family gathering or a romantic date night. They serve incredible, authentic South American cuisine paired with great wine and cocktail selections. While you're there, be sure to grab a bottle of their famous Cilantro sauce to take home because we promise, once you get a taste, you'll want to put it on every meal you ever have.

Hai Poké

647 North High Street Even though their menu is constantly expanding, it's Hai Poké's incredible poké bowl that has been featured on NPR, 1870 Magazine, The Columbus Dispatch (and Cutler Real Estate's Blog) and many other publications. What with fresh fish, tofu, veggies and rice along with homemade sauces — you can't go wrong!

Northstar Café

At Northstar, you'll find locally and sustainably sourced food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. From delicious sandwiches and burgers to handcrafted pizzas and salads — they've got a little something for everyone!  

Mickey's Late Night Slice

268 South Fourth Street | 457 North High Street Have you ever wandered around the city late at night, trying to find a good meal but keep coming up short? Mickey's is open until 3 a.m. on weeknights and 4 a.m. on the weekends and offer delivery throughout the night as well! Not only do they offer delicious pizza at great prices, but their beer and cocktail selection is unbeatable.

Bibibop Asian Grill

Several Locations In 2013, Bibibop opened up their first location in Columbus, bringing the bold flavors and healthy ingredients of South Korea to our incredible city. Since then, they've opened up dozens of locations around the nation, but they remain a Columbus staple with their fast, casual food and incredible atmosphere.

Brassica

With two spectacular Columbus locations and two more coming soon, it's safe to assume that Brassica is something special. They serve healthy (and delicious) sandwiches and salads crafted from organic, local and sustainably sourced ingredients.

Nida's Thai on High

976 North High Street For some of the best Thai cuisine in Columbus, visit Nida's Thai on High. Their authentic, carefully crafted dishes never disappoint and are served along with innovative cocktails in a modern atmosphere.

The Brown Bag Deli

898 Mohawk Street This German Village eatery offers an extensive menu of seasonal dishes along with all of your favorite deli classics. Their sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts are all sensational and the ambiance is perfect for both work lunches or date nights.
