Spring break, St. Patrick's Day and some warmer weather are right around the corner. With all of this excitement, the Columbus area has plenty of reasons to celebrate this month! Join us in the merriment with dog-friendly yoga, craft shows, parades, brewery tours and more. We've rounded up our most-anticipated events in the region this month, so peruse our top picks and get ready for an unforgettable March!  

Don Quixote

Where: The Ohio Theatre When: March 1-3, Times Vary Columbus March Events

Follow the tale of Don Quixote, an eccentric and old gentleman, as he sets out on an adventure. The celebrated BalletMet will take you on a beautiful adventure with lush sets and costumes, gorgeous dancing, and even some laughs.  

2019 Columbus Spring Avant-Garde Arts & Craft Show

Where: Makoy Event Center When: March 2, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Kick off the avant-garde show year at their annual spring event in Columbus! Peruse rows upon rows of items handmade by local artists and crafters. There will also be a full concession stand on site so you can shop until you drop!  

Downtown Columbus Brewery Tour

Where: Rockmill Tavern When: March 2, 11 a.m. In 2011, the microbrew scene in Columbus exploded, going from only five breweries in the area to approaching 50 today. At this brewery tour, you'll explore the Columbus Brewery District and learn more about how beer is made while tasting the different styles from each destination. Take a look at all of the breweries you'll get a chance to visit here.  

March Gallery Hop

Where: The Short North Arts District When: March 2, 4-10 p.m. Columbus March Events

On the first Saturday of each month, thousands of visitors gather on High Street in the Short North Arts District for a Gallery Hop! Celebrate art by exploring dozens of galleries, non-traditional exhibit spaces, street performers, and more. Plus, restaurants and bars in the area stay open late on these nights so you don't have to venture with an empty stomach.  

To The Dogs Cocktail Gala & Silent Paw-ction

Where: The Columbus Athenaeum When: March 2, 6-9:30 p.m. Join RESCUEDOhio for their annual cocktail gala and silent Paw-ction fundraiser. This evening will feature games, a silent auction, cash bar and a doggie fashion show!  

DOGA — Yoga for and with Dogs

Where: Wild Goose Creative When: March 3, 11:55 a.m.-1 p.m. Take a moment to relax with your dog. At this course held at Wild Goose Creative, dogs will be able to practice yoga with you by posing and stretching. Plus, you'll get the opportunity to play with dozens of adorable pups while workout out — it's a win-win!  

Wine and Girl Scout Cookies Pairing

Where: Serendipity Labs, Short North When: March 6, 6-9 p.m. Sample through the 2019 Girl Scout Cookies with a glass of wine! From Thin Mints to Tagalongs, Columbus 10 for 10 will have the perfect wine for every cookie. A portion of all the proceeds made during the event will be donated to Central Ohio Girl Scouts. You can get your ticket here.  

Plenty of Fish in Ohio

Where: Ohio History Center When: March 9, 2-2:30 p.m. Columbus March Events It's almost Spring, which means it's almost fishing season in the Buckeye State. Learn about some of the best fishing practices and locations for Ohioans at all different ages, abilities and interest levels.  

Eat Up! Columbus

Where: St. Charles Preparatory School When: March 9, 6-10 p.m. Savor an innovative six-course menu prepared by top Columbus chefs. This unique culinary experience will help support Freedom a la Cart, a Columbus non-profit that works to empower and employ survivors of human trafficking in Central Ohio.  

2019 Mix & Shake Presented by Envisage Wealth

Where: North Market When: March 9, 7:30-10:30 p.m. At this 21 and over event, experience an evening of cocktails, food, activities, music and more. For the price of one ticket, you will receive four cocktail tastings, a $10 voucher to spend at any North Market merchant, entertainment and even a speakeasy! All proceeds from this event benefit the not-for-profit: North Market Development Authority and the Ohio Distiller's Guild.  

2019 Irish Whiskey Tasting

Where: Serendipity Labs When: March 14, 6-9 p.m. Find some new whiskeys to love and share just in time for St. Patrick's Day. Taste from a selection of five whiskeys with one special "Surprise" bottle in store for you. Food is welcome at this event, so feel free to pack a St. Patrick's Day feast!  

Dublin St. Patrick's Day Parade

Where: Historic Dublin When: March 16, 12-1:30 p.m.

Come out and experience one of the greenest, grandest St. Patrick's Day parades in the country. Celebrate with over 100 units including marching bands, clowns, floats and giant balloons alongside 20,000 guests.  

Social City's 9th Annual St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl

Where: The Arena District When: March 16, 12-9 p.m. Join 4,000 crawlers in the largest pub crawl in all of Ohio! Explore all of the pubs within the Arena District and enjoy all that they have to offer. With a purchase of a ticket, you'll receive a t-shirt, drink specials, a koozie, free cover charges and more.  

The International Gem & Jewelry Show

Where: Ohio Expo Center When: March 29-31, Times Vary This famous show brings wholesalers, manufacturers and designers all together under one roof.  Shop from rows of quality gemstone, bead, jewelry and accessory dealers for an incredible selection.  

Craftin' Outlaws

Where: Columbus Museum of Art When: March 31, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Bring the whole family out for a whole day of shopping, interactive elements and a celebration of all things crafting related! At this one-day craft fair, you'll be able to support local indie artists, crafters and designers without having to leave the building.
